A Welcome from the New Owner
Yarns in the Farms has been “my” local yarn shop for years now. I can’t remember when I started to knit but I do know when I became passionate about knitting and the fiber arts. When my wonderful Dad was diagnosed with melanoma, I picked up my needles. With each project, I made sure I was learning something new. It gave me a focus. It was, and is, very meditative. I would get lost in the movement of the needles, the colors of the yarn, and then the wonder of the finished project – mistakes and all. It got me through a very difficult time.
Since my beautiful children are grown and have moved out, I needed a new mission and I saw an opportunity to be with like-minded folks all day, be surrounded by beautiful fibers, and share my joy of knitting. My goal is to be a shop that welcomes all levels of knitters, crocheters, felters, weavers, and fiber artists. I continue to try to learn something new everyday about the fiber arts and I invite you to join us. Welcome!
