Come and learn how to embellish the things you knit with embroidery. In the class you will learn basic embroidery stitches and apply them to an embroidered needlebook for your hand sewing needles. The materials are included but bring some little scissors and a thimble if you'd like.

Continental knitting is another way to knit and purl, also known as "picking". The yarn and needle are held in your left hand, much like crochet. It is very economical in movement and some say faster. It also makes colorwork knitting a breeze! During the class you will be casting on in the round to make a hat.

If you’ve been looking to try out weaving, look no further! This introductory course will cover all the basics of working on a rigid heddle loom. In the first class we’ll go over the parts of the loom, direct warping, and get you started on a weaving project. In the second class, we’ll discuss finishing options and remove projects from the loom. Class fee includes one-week rental of a Schacht Cricket loom.
