Learn to Knit - Foundations of Knitting

You've been thinking you want to learn to knit. Maybe you've even tried to figure it out on your own through YouTube and the internet.

Have we got the class for you!

In this two class series, you will learn the four fundamental parts of any knitting project - how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Discover the principles of the knit and purl stitches and how they can work together for all of your future knitting creations.?(Really, everything from the simplest scarf to the loveliest sweater uses these four things to get from beginning to end!)

Class 1 will focus on knitting and casting on.
Class 2 will focus on purling, combining it with knitting, and binding off.

We've made sure there is plenty of time during each session so you can get the help you need and your questions answered.

There will be homework/practice after each class.

At the end of these two classes, you'll be on your way to making your first scarf.

Class size is limited to 6 people.

Masks will be worn throughout our time together. We're doing our best to keep everyone safe!

Instructor Bio:
April's classes will be taught by Leslie. Leslie is the owner of Yarns in the Farms and has been for 7 years. If you didn't know that, it's because she prefers to be behind the scenes. She is an avid knitter - which borders on addiction - leaving her house a mess, laundry not done, and and empty refrigerator. She's been on a sweater kick lately, finishing Lovenote, Early Bloomer, Mycroft, Talvinen, Halibut, and Greystoke (many of which currently reside at the shop). Someday the socks for her sons-in-law will be finished.

May's sessions will be taught by Lauren. Lauren is an avid knitter, weaver, and yogi who brings her passion for knitting to Yarns in the Farms. She is looking forward to bringing new knitters into the fold and helping to spark a lifelong love of the craft.

For more information about Lauren, you can visit her website at www.knittingweavingmaking.com.
