The More You Gnome - A KAL
A new mystery gnome from Imagined Landscapes is coming in June and we're hosting a gnome-a-long! Gnomes are great for warm weather crafting - small parts, joined modularly, light weight yarns - and they're so stinkin' cute when they're done!
Join Louise to make Gnifty the Gnome, the host of Science Facts for Toadstools and Toddler on GBC (that's the Gnome Broadcasting Company).
Made of mostly simple knitting, you'll also:
- knit on DPNs
- pick up stitches
- use a provisional crochet cast-on
- graft
- use various increases and decreases
- slip stitches
- learn how to stuff your new friend for maximum roly-poly-ness
The clues for The More You Gnome will be released beginning on June 1. We've spaced out our meetings on the 3 Mondays following to get together to knit, learn some new techniques, and have a ball cheering each other on as we make a gaggle of gnomes together.
Emma's Yarn kits are available at the shop (and online HERE) and the pattern is available separately over on Ravelry. We will provide the materials needed for stuffing your gnome at the end - the KAL itself is free with purchase of a kit and a $10 charge for the stuffing materials.

| Instructor Bio: | Louise is gnome aficionado, knitter, spinner, and aspiring weaver who lives in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Her work is inspired by her Norwegian heritage, which has been passed down to her by generations of Norwegian grandmothers. She loves to continue to learn Scandinavian techniques and is currently learning the art of plukkband, weaving Nordic decorative bands that add the finishing touch to a traditional Norwegian kofte (cardigan). |
