Beginner Sweater - Ramona Cardigan
Learn to knit a sweater using the beautiful “Ramona Cardigan” pattern.
This class is perfect for beginners eager to expand their skills and create a cozy, stylish garment from scratch. Julia will guide you step-by-step through the basics of sweater construction, covering everything from gauge to reading the pattern to picking up for the sleeves and modifications.
By the end of this class, you’ll have completed a soft, comfortable sweater for fall/winter wearing and gained confidence to tackle another sweater on your own.
There are 11 (yes, ELEVEN) sizes to choose from, beginning at a 33.25" finished bust and closing out with a 64" finished measurement with lots of incremental sizes in between.
This cardigan is knit using an Aran weight yarn to get a cozy garment that will help keep the chill away all winter. We're happy to help you choose just the right yarn once you've registered for class.

The dates may seem strange but we’ve found that meeting a few times in a row and then spacing other meetings out a little further gives everyone time to get their knitting done in between each class.
Materials needed:

A copy of the Ramona Cardigan pattern (available on Ravelry)

Enough yarn to make your chosen size

US size 8 & 9 circular needles (16” and 32” should do the trick); or the sizes required to get the correct gauge
