Make a Wee Frog!
Whether you’re an intermediate or experienced knitter, this class is the perfect way to learn new skills while creating a charming froggy friend.
In this class, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of knitting the frog’s body and limbs. We’ll cover key knitting techniques such as increasing, decreasing, simple shaping, and seaming. You’ll also get tips for finishing touches like stuffing and sewing the frog together to give it its unique character.
By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a cute knit frog that can be a toy, decoration, or delightful handmade gift. Plus, you’ll gain the confidence to take on more wee knitted friends in the future.
In this class, you’ll learn:

Cable cast-on

Simple short rows

How to seam and assemble knit pieces

Finishing techniques, tips, and tricks for stuffed toys
Materials needed:

A copy of “Frog” pattern (available on Ravelry)

DK weight yarn, approximately 75 yards of the main color and 50 yards of the contrasting/belly color (white in the pattern)

A lace-weight mohair yarn in coordinating colors, if you would like your frog to be be fuzzy

US size 4 double pointed needles (this is different from the pattern!)

Darning needle

A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn!

Instructor Bio: | Louise is knitter, spinner, and aspiring weaver who lives in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Her work is inspired by her Norwegian heritage, which has been passed down to her by generations of Norwegian grandmothers. She loves to continue to learn Scandinavian techniques and is currently learning the art of plukkband, weaving Nordic decorative bands that add the finishing touch to a traditional Norwegian kofte (cardigan). |
