Bulky Brioche Cowl


Brioche projects are renowned for their delectable squish factor - come learn this fascinating technique and wind up with the coziest cowl you've ever made!
In this class, you'll make Lavanya Patricella's "Beginners Brioche Cowl". Learn the lingo of brioche knitting (brks? brps? sl1yos?s), how to execute all the stitches, and how to fix your mistakes.
For class, you will need:
- A copy of the pattern (available HERE on Ravelry)
- 2 contrasting skeins of Manos del Uruguay Franca
- 16" US size 11 circular needles
- Stitch markers (for beginning of round and marking front of work)
- Darning needle for finishing
- A can-do attitude!
In session 1, you'll cast-on and get to knitting! Louise will guide you through the ins and outs of the 2 row repeat and how to read the pattern so you can go home and work on your cowl for homework.
In session 2, you'll get answers to your questions, learn to fix any mistakes, and hear tips and tricks for finishing your project.
A minimum of 3 students is needed for this class to run - bring a friend! Class size is limited to 6 people.

| Instructor Bio: | Louise is knitter, spinner, and aspiring weaver who lives in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Her work is inspired by her Norwegian heritage, which has been passed down to her by generations of Norwegian grandmothers. She loves to continue to learn Scandinavian techniques and is currently learning the art of plukkband, weaving Nordic decorative bands that add the finishing touch to a traditional Norwegian kofte (cardigan). |
