Flora Adora Hat
This lovely new pattern from Blue Sky Fibers has gotten a lot of attention around the internet and our shop sample has garnered lots of comments since yarn crawl.
Come make one with Elaine and incorporate colorwork, Latvian braid, and embroidery into your knitting repertoire!
This hat comes in one size (adult, about 20" finished circumference) and the class cost includes a kit of the yarn you will need. Everyone will make the same hat in the same colors.
In this class, you will use/learn:
- Corrugated Rib
- Latvian Braid
- Colorwork
- Embroidery on knitting
Besides your yarn kit, you will also need:
- A copy of the Flora Adora Hat pattern, available on Ravlery HERE
- US size 6 & 7 needles (or size needed to obtain gauge; 16" circular for both and DPNs for the larger size)
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Embroidery needle
- Pom-pom maker (if you wish)
In the first class, you'll get started on your hat with corrugated ribbing and the Latvian braid. Homework in between sessions will be to finish off your hat so that everyone can dive into the embroidery together in session 2.
