Beginner Pullover - (No Need To) Panic Sweater

Join Tracy to make the brand new "(No Need To) Panic Sweater" by Casapinka.

This DK weight pullover is a great layer for Spring and those chilly A/C outings in summer. It is not cropped (though easily could be shortened - or lengthened!) and is intended to be oversized with 6-12" of positive ease. You can also choose to make it with either long or short sleeves.

This sweater is top-down, seamless, and knit in the round. It has a simple textured yoke pattern.
There are 9 sizes to choose from, with a finished circumference from 40-72".

It's the perfect "will Spring ever come?" pattern! It's also full of snarky comments from Sharon from Security (she's a cat) and helpful hints from both her and her human. Check boxes throughout the pattern make it super easy to keep track of your progress and to know exactly where you are when you pick it up each time.

Learn:
- about gauge
- fit and positive vs. negative ease
- how to make a top down sweater (beginning at the ribbed neck edge)
- short rows and why to use them (or not!)

Meet new people and have a fabulous sweater by the end!

Prior to the first class, please knit and block a gauge swatch out of your chosen yarn so we can jump right in. (Don't know what we're talking about? Don't worry, you'll get instructions on how to do this before the first class!)

We have a lot of yarns that will work great for this sweater! Tracy will be using Life in the Long Grass DK Twist. Some other excellent options are Rowan Felted Tweed, Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia, Green Mountain Spinnery Cotton Comfort, and The Fibre Co. Luma. Don't want wool? We have cotton and cotton/linen blend options too! We ask that you purchase your yarn from Yarns in the Farms for this class - you'll get a 10% discount on it when you do!

Get the pattern HERE on Ravelry or HERE on Payhip.

We have intentionally spaced these classes out further than we usually would to give everyone plenty of time to get their knitting done in between each meeting.

Classes will be held in-person, indoors, when the shop is closed for regular business.
Masks are required for all in attendance.
All our instructors are fully vaccinated and we ask that students who sign up for these sessions be as well.
