Halibut Sweater KAL

We're hosting an in-person Knit-A-Long (KAL)!

Leslie was so taken by Caitlin Hunter's (aka Boyland Knitworks) Talvinen when she made it that she's ready to make another one of her designs and she's inviting you to join her!

The pattern is the Halibut sweater which is available over on Ravelry (click the link to go straight to it).

Halibut uses DK weight yarn and is written for finished sizes from 38" to 74". It has a recommended positive ease of 6-10" at the bust.

Meetings of the KAL group will take place every other Wednesday between January 12th to February 23rd (1/12, 1/26, 2/9, & 2/23) from 6:30-8:00 at night.

This KAL is free of charge but you must buy your yarn at the shop. We have some really lovely options!

Leslie has chosen Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia for her main color and Life in the Long Grass DK Twist for her contrast color.

This is a knit-a-long group project, as opposed to a class with instruction. Come make a beautiful sweater and hang out with other knitters while you do so!

We are limiting the number of sign-ups to 6 to accommodate social distancing at the shop. Proof of vaccination (including a booster dose) will be required at our first meeting and masks will be worn throughout our time together. We're doing our best to keep everyone safe!

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Must know how to cast on, bind off, knit in the round, and execute stranded colorwork.
Requirements: Yarn must be purchased at Yarns in the Farms; Pattern can be purchased through Ravelry
Instructor: Leslie
Instructor Bio: Leslie is the owner of Yarns in the Farms and has been for almost 7 years. If you didn't know that, it's because she prefers to be behind the scenes. She in as avid knitter - which borders on addiction - leaving her house in a mess, laundry not done, and an empty refrigerator. She's been on a sweater kick lately, finishing Lovenote, Early Bloomer, Mycroft, and Talvinen (all of which currently reside at the shop). Someday the socks for her sons-in-law will be finished.
