Learn to Knit - Foundations of Knitting

You've been thinking you want to learn to knit. Maybe you've even tried to figure it out on your own through YouTube and the internet.

Have we got the class for you!

In this two class series, you will learn the four fundamental parts of any knitting project - how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Discover the principles of the knit and purl stitches and how they can work together for all of your future knitting creations.(Really, everything from the simplest scarf to the loveliest sweater uses these four things to get from beginning to end!)

Class 1 will focus on knitting and casting on.
Class 2 will focus on purling, combining it with knitting, and binding off.

We've made sure there is plenty of time during each session so you can get the help you need and your questions answered.

There will be homework/practice after class.

At the end of these two classes, you'll be on your way to making your first scarf.

We need a minimum of 3 students for this class to run - bring a friend! Class size is limited to 6 people.

IMPORTANT MATERIALS NOTES:
- On the "Needles" list: please choose Dreamz 10IN in size US8
- On the "Yarn" list: to choose your color of yarn, click here to go to the Ultra Wool page. Make note of your color choice and then come back here to choose it out of the drop down list. We strongly recommend choosing a light or bright color (so no navy/charcoal/black/etc.) so that it is easier to see your stitches!
